Day 31 - December 1st, 2011

Today, and everyday, I am thankful for my mom.  Yesterday when I went through my FaceBook feed to copy and paste all of my 30 status' from November I realized that I had been overlooking my wonderful mother.

For those of you that don't know, the day I had Henry my husband, Brian, was working over an hour away and could not make it in time for my emergency csection.  My mom was at work in downtown Baltimore and made it just in time to be there when Henry was rudely removed from my uterus.  She was able to cut his cord and not pass out when she saw the doctors shoving my uterus back into my abdomen.  Shortly after this Henry was whisked away to the NICU and my mom left the operating room because Brian had arrived and was a complete emotional disaster.  My mom calmed him down before he got to see me...this I am truly thankful for because I was also a complete wreck.

Well to make a long story short my mom has taken off so much time from work to help us out over the last 3 months, from making it to the delivery, meeting us at Hopkins Pedi ER to help with Andrew, and watching Andrew when we had numerous doctors appointments.  I always know that if I need help my mom is going to be there regardless of what she might have going on.

Oh yea, Ma, March 5th...we need you to watch Andrew....again!  Love ya!
